About Circulation

Circulation (740.351.3519) is located on the main level in the Clark Memorial Library at the entrance to the Library.

  • Materials are checked in and out at the Circulation Counter.
  • Circulation staff also issue and update library accounts.
  • OhioLINK and Interlibrary Loan items may be picked up at the Circulation Counter.
  • Course Reserves are located at the Circulation Counter; Faculty can use Online Course Reserve Request Form.
  • Photocopying services, (transparency, color, and black and white).
  • For more information about borrowing OhioLINK resources see FAQ's
  • Laptops, for use in the library, can be checked out at the Circulation Counter.

A current University ID is required to check-out library materials. Student library accounts are automatically updated each semester. Faculty and staff accounts are valid for one year and are also updated automatically.  Alumni, Community Borrowers, Local High School Students, and Retired Faculty are issued Clark Memorial Library cards.  Questions regarding the check out/renewal of library materials can be answered by calling 740.351.3519, emailing Circulation Services, or stopping by the Circulation Counter.

Most local and OhioLINK materials can be checked out for 21 days. Special items and videos circulate for less time.  The due date slip will indicate the return date.

Clark Memorial Library does not charge fines for most Shawnee State Library materials. However, overdue CD's accrue fines of $1.00 per day. Overdue OhioLINK item fines are $0.50/day. There is a $50 fine for items that are more than 30 days overdue. If materials are not returned, check-out privileges will be suspended and grade transcripts will not be issued.

Charges are made for lost and damaged library materials.

Library book returns are located at the Circulation Counter, the east outside wall of the library, outside Massie Hall, and in the lobby of the Library building.
