Welcome to your Business Research Guide! This guide has been designed to help you as you begin to conduct research for your Business Courses.
The "Find Books" tab to the left contains a link to the library catalog, with recommendations for keyword searches, tips for finding books in the library, and recommendations for books that may be relevant in the field.
The "Find Articles" tab contains databases that are useful for searching for sources for your papers. This is especially helpful if you're looking for scholarly or peer-reviewed resources. The Discovery Service, which is featured prominently on the library homepage, is great for starting out, but using databases specific to your subject will focus on resources more relevant to the subject matter.
If you're getting stuck locating statistical information or information about a specific company, make sure to check out the "Company Profiles" and "Find Statistics" tabs.
Clicking on the "Citation Center" tab will take you to a useful guide that will help you with your citations. If you're concerned about accidentally plagiarizing, or find yourself confused by MLA, APA, or any other citation format, this is a great resource.
One last thing to keep in mind--I am the Business liaison librarian. If you're having trouble in any stage of the research process--whether you're struggling to pick a topic or encountering frustration when looking for information, please know that you can contact me at any time to meet. My contact information is available throughout this guide, or you can schedule an appointment by clicking the "Schedule a Research Consultation" link on the far side of the library website. Or feel free to stop by my office! I'm here to help, so I hope you'll seek me out if you need it.
Good luck with your research--I hope to hear from you!
