Information Literacy Instruction at Clark Memorial Library

The librarians at Clark Memorial Library are eager to collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy instruction into your courses. This instruction is a key priority for the library, as understanding the complexities of information empowers students not only academically, but also in their careers and as informed members of society.

Instruction is grounded in the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education, which emphasizes:

  • Developing traditional research skills
  • Encouraging reflective and responsible use and creation of information
  • Promoting critical thinking about sources, authority, and context

Librarians are also available to assist in designing assignments that incorporate information literacy concepts.

To schedule an instruction session:
Visit the library homepage and complete the “Schedule Library Instruction/Visit” form.
