Welcome to the Research Guide for Mathematics! The purpose of this guide is to provide you with assistance as you delve into research for your courses.
The "Find Articles" tab to the left contains databases you can use to search for sources (including peer-reviewed) for your papers. Using the Discovery Service available to you on the library homepage can be a starting point, but utilizing databases specific to a subject will focus on sources related to the subject matter.
The "Citation Center" tab will help you learn about the sometimes perplexing topic of citation (e.g. MLA and APA). Make use of the tools here so you avoid mistakes and prevent inadvertently plagiarizing.
Finally, I am the liaison librarian for Mathematics. If you are having difficulty knowing how to start your research or you are running into a "research wall," please contact me to set up a research appointment (also called a "research consultation").
Good luck with your research and don't forget to contact me if you need help!
