Any member of the public may receive a Clark Memorial Library card. To do so, simply come into the library with a photo ID and fill out a registration form. The Shawnee State University Library is also pleased to extend library privileges to individuals affiliated with OhioLINK member libraries when visiting the Clark Memorial Library. SSU items may be borrowed upon presentation of current campus identification.

Available Library Resources

  • Public users may use the Clark Memorial library building and library resources.
  • Access to the Clark Memorial Library Classic Catalog and OhioLINK catalog is available.
  • Copiers are available at a cost of 10¢ a copy; color copies are 25¢.

Borrowing Privileges

  • Checkout 10 items during the same loan period.  5 additional items may be borrowed from OhioLINK.
  • Books are checked out for 21 days and non-print items for 7 days.
  • Items may be renewed if no other user has requested them. Renewals may be made via the Check Your Library Record link on the library's homepage, or over the phone at 740.351.3255.
  • Overdue items must be renewed, returned or paid for before additional items may be borrowed.
  • Magazines, microfilm, media, and reference books may be used in the Library.

Visiting Student Borrowers

Clark Memorial Library can work with high schools to offer borrowing privileges to the high school's students. If your high school has arranged this benefit for you, simply bring your information sheet and card to the Service Desk, and we can set your account up. The borrowing privileges available to visiting student borrowers are the same privileges extended to all general public members (see above).
