A public database provided by the United States Census Bureau to access content and statistics on America’s people, places, and economy. Some data are organized by topic and subtopics, which enables simpler data visualization. Datasets and interactive maps are available. Clicking “Data and Maps” and then selecting “Data Profiles” allows the easiest ways to generate basic stats by state, city, county, and zip code.
Datasets cover a wide range of subjects – including business, finance, banking, economics, sociology, political science, demography, agriculture, education, international studies, criminal justice, housing and construction, labor and employment, energy resources and industries, and more. Sources include public, private/commercial, and nongovernmental organizations, as well as Woods & Poole Economics, Inc.
